Welcome to Imperial Detail Co. By booking any service with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully, as they outline how we operate, protect your vehicle, and deliver our premium service.
1. Definitions
“We”, “Our”, “Us” refers to Imperial Detail Co.
“You”, “Your” refers to the customer or vehicle owner.
“Vehicle” refers to the car(s) being serviced.
2. Booking & Payment

Full payment is due on completion of your service unless otherwise agreed.

We accept EFTPOS, credit/debit card, bank transfer, and approved payment links.

A deposit may be required for large bookings, premium services, or group/contract work.
3. Pricing

All pricing listed on our website or marketing material is a starting price and may vary depending on vehicle size, condition, contamination level, and location.

Additional charges apply for:

Pet hair removal
-
Heavy dirt or mould
-
Bodily fluids
-
Excessive rubbish
-
Sand, dog fur, vomit, and other contaminants
-
Odour treatments
-
-
You will always be informed before any additional cost is added.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee of up to 50% of the booking value.

Missed appointments or no-shows may be charged full price.
5. Vehicle Condition

You are responsible for informing us of:
-
Pre-existing damage
-
Loose, broken, or fragile components
-
Faulty electronics or sensors
-

We are not responsible for:
-
Existing damage that becomes more visible after cleaning
-
Damage caused by structural issues, ageing plastics, or worn materials
-
Breakdown or malfunction of old, deteriorated, or aftermarket parts
-

We reserve the right to refuse service if the vehicle is unsafe, excessively dirty, or contains hazardous material.
6. Liability

While we take all care during your service, Imperial Detail Co. is not liable for:

Personal belongings left in the vehicle

Pre-existing scratches, tears, stains, or defects
-
Mechanical, electrical, or sensor issues that occur during routine cleaning

You agree that any claims must be made in writing within 24 hours of service completion.
7. Photographs & Content

We may take before/after photos or videos for record-keeping, training, and marketing purposes.

Your licence plate may be blurred for privacy upon request.

If you do not wish for your vehicle to be photographed, you must inform us before the service begins.
8. Weather & Mobile Service

For mobile bookings, services may be affected by:
-
Heavy rain
-
Strong winds
-
Unsafe locations
-

We may reschedule if conditions make it unsafe or impossible to deliver quality results.

A suitable space must be provided: flat surface, adequate space, and permission to operate on the property.
9. Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your detail, contact us within 24 hours.

We will re-inspect and may offer a complimentary touch-up if we determine the issue is within our control.

No refunds will be issued after the service has been completed unless required by NZ Consumer Law.
10. Gift Cards & Vouchers

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
-
They must be used before the expiry date stated on the card.
-
They can be transferred to another vehicle or person.
11. Health, Safety & Biohazards
We reserve the right to refuse or charge extra for vehicles containing:

Mould
-
Blood
-
Bodily fluids
-
Needles
-
Hazardous waste
-
Strong infestations
Safety of our staff comes first.
12. Changes to Terms
Imperial Detail Co. may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the latest version.
